Labour party urged National Leader John Key to be honest regarding the real agenda on tax cuts that will possible suffered some public investments.
The National Party all but confirmed it would have to borrow for tax cuts, but has still refused to say if it would cut government investments and services to pay for tax cuts.
"It's time for John Key to be honest with the public, Finance Minister Michael Cullen said.
He added that Mr. Key already has public services lined up for cuts comes just a day after it emerged that Bill English is privately reassuring National Party members that assets like Kiwibank would eventually be sold under a Key government.
However, The national Party denied the allegation of Mr. Cullen saying that Labour is now claiming the sky is falling because National plans to borrow a modest amount more to build some of the infrastructure this country desperately needs.
